Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 30, 2026
Effective Date: September 29, 2026
Company: Midac LLC

1. Introduction

Midac LLC ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (mineksuite.com) and use our downloadable software (the "Software").

We are committed to the principle of data minimization. We only collect the information strictly necessary to provide our software functionality, process your licenses, and deliver customer support.

2. Information We Collect

Because we practice strict data minimization, we do not collect invasive telemetry or unnecessary personal data. The information we process falls into the following categories:

2.1. Account & Billing Information
When you purchase a license, our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), collects your checkout information (such as your name, email address, billing address, tax ID if provided, and payment method). Polar processes this information as an independent controller under the Polar Privacy Policy.

2.2. License Key & Hardware Fingerprinting
To enforce seat limits and prevent piracy, the Minek desktop application creates a pseudonymous Machine ID: a one-way SHA-256 hash derived from your Windows installation’s MachineGuid, your hardware’s system UUID, and your computer’s domain. Only this hash and your License Key are transmitted to Polar’s license key service, at activation and during periodic license checks (about every 10 days when your computer is online), strictly for license validation and activation limits. Raw hardware identifiers and serial numbers never leave your computer. As with any internet connection, your IP address is also visible to that service. Your activation is stored locally in a license file in %APPDATA%\Minek. We do not use the Machine ID to track your usage.

2.3. Offline Operation & Local Data
The Minek software requires an internet connection to activate your License Key with Polar. Once activated, it can be used offline between periodic license checks (about every 10 days when online; a successful check is needed at least about every 44 days). Apart from license activation, these periodic checks and, where enabled, checking for available updates (which involves sending your License Key, Machine ID, and software version, along with your IP address as with any internet connection), the desktop application does not collect, transmit, or monitor your design files, project data, or personal telemetry. All project files (.minek), autosaves, backups, and exports are stored strictly locally on your machine.

2.4. System Resources and Fonts
To function correctly, the Software reads certain local system resources, such as your operating system architecture and system-installed fonts (to render text and embed fonts in PDF exports). This data is read locally into memory and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

2.5. Website Usage Data, Cookies & Browser Storage
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect standard log information, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and our website does not use local storage or similar technologies to identify or track you. Our website may use strictly necessary cookies set by our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) for security and performance. To make pages load faster on return visits, our website tells your browser to keep copies of its images and fonts in your browser’s cache, for up to one week for images and up to one year for fonts. These cached files are the same for every visitor, contain no personal information, and are never sent back to us; you can clear them at any time through your browser settings. All fonts and images are served from our own website, so no font or image requests are sent to third parties such as Google. When you click a purchase button, you are taken to Polar’s checkout, which is governed by Polar’s own privacy policy and cookie practices.

2.6. Support Communications
If you contact us via email at info@mineksuite.com, through direct messages on social media platforms, or via physical mail, we retain the contents of your correspondence to assist with your inquiry and improve our support services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect solely for the following business purposes:

4. Third-Party Data Processors & Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or third-party marketers. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Legal Bases (EEA/UK): Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (license delivery, activation, updates, and support), for our legitimate interests (preventing piracy and fraud, securing our website, and telling customers about updates and related products), and to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

International Transfers: We and our service providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, using appropriate safeguards where required by law.

5. Data Security

Because Polar acts as our Merchant of Record, Midac LLC does not collect, process, or store your payment details, credit card numbers, or financial data on our servers. For the minimal data we do handle (such as support emails), we implement reasonable administrative and technical security measures. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights & Data Retention

Depending on your location (including under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal data, and to restrict or object to certain processing. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by local law), and purchases must be made by adults. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without required parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. If we make material changes, we may notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website.
